We provide the team, materials, and tools to make blankets with your group, and then we deliver these blankets to kiddos in the hospital!
If you click on the Profile part of the app, there are other information left blank that you have the opportunity to fill or not. The optional information in your profile will be your Occupation, Education, Religion, Interests, Hangouts, Kids, Smoke, and Drink.

Our goal is to provide every child facing hospital treatments with a colorful, comfortable fleece blanket and a video message of support from its maker, but we need YOUR help to accomplish this!

Our events are for groups of one all the way to thousands of people, and all ages can participate. Blanket making is a meaningful youth church activity, student philanthropy project, scout service badge project, community service hour opportunity, and more!
Giving Back Full Circle
We connect your group directly with the patients you are supporting through our special video messaging technology on each blanket.
We provide special blanket kits to our groups that do events. These kits are helping provide essential comfort and connection for kids facing extended stays in the hospital, and each blanket has a special video message patch allowing you to record a message for the recipient.
Our event can be done remotely on your own, virtually via video call, or in-person with or without a F&TY team member. We can ship blankets anywhere around the country and world to connect your group for a great blanket-making experience.
The most impactful part of our blankets is the video message that goes along with them from the makers. At a time when children are missing their friends and becoming disconnected, we give them a friendly face and message of support.
For those events we cannot be at, we will make a personal video message for the group to show beforehand explaining our history and mission as well as the process for how to make a blanket! Groups also take advantage of our Blanket-Making Experience Page to share with members to have the instructions needed to do this on their own!
Need Help Fundraising?
We have a couple options for how we can engage your group for blanket-making. Any of the four options can be paired with a “virtual” video blanket making event where FTY leads the group on a video call in blanket-making and inspiration. The cost per blanket kit is $25, and that donation helps cover fabric for your blanket, your video message that gives a friendly face of support, and hospital delivery to provide comfort for a child’s journey.
If your group is not purchasing kits out of a group budget (mailed check, etc), we also have the option to make you a custom fundraising page to collect funds for the kits- one, easy link to send out to your members. This eliminates a middle person handling checks, cash etc.

However you plan to have this event, the hybrid option opens the most doors for involvement. We can create a custom checkout page for your group where members can choose from two options:
- Option #1: Order their own kit(s) directly from the custom page and have them shipped to their home (for those who might not be comfortable/wanting to come to a pickup location).
- Option #2: Contribute to a group fundraising page and pick up their blanket from a designated pick-up location (office, someone's garage, etc) in staggered pickup times. Of course, some folks may not want to make a blanket but just want to donate, and all additional donations go toward more blankets being made by the group.

If your group is covering the cost for all group members, then this is the option for you! We can work to get blanket kits to a location(s) and provide an invoice as needed for blanket kits and any additional shipping or supply costs after we discuss.
